  • First-Time Homebuyers A

    Our HUD-Certified first-time homebuyers classes are held free of charge. This 8-hour course gives potential homebuyers the information needed to purchase a home as well as access to down payment assistance and other assets tailored to first-time homebuyers.Classes are held in-person at Catholic Charities of North Louisiana (902 Olive St, Shreveport, LA 71104) from 5:30-7:30 on scheduled dates. To successfully complete the class, you must attend ALL 4 classes. The dates for this month's class are:Tuesday, October 13Thursday, October 15Tuesday, October 20Thursday, October 22Due to the length of the classes, no children are allowed. Please select 5:30 PM to register. Once registered, you will receive an email with information about the class and how to register for our one-on-one counseling services that are tailored to your homebuying process.

  • Mortgage Default Counseling Session

    Housing Counseling session for mortgage delinquency or default and foreclosure prevention.We must receive your complete intake form and required documents at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled session.If you have not yet provided these documents, please schedule an intake appointment before scheduling a Default Counseling Session.If you are unable to attend an in-person intake appointment, you may send your completed form and all documents to jbulger@ccnla.org or fax them to (318)-865-0230. Please note that both email and fax contain inherent security vulnerabilities. Catholic Charities does not assume any liability for personal data that may be compromised should you choose these methods to send us information. You should also note that submitting documentation remotely can slow down the process of beginning housing counseling. We therefore encourage scheduling an intake appointment if possible.Please select 90 minutes for your initial counseling session or 60 minutes for a follow-up session.
